Legal and Ethical Issues

Taken straight from their website, Creative Commons "is a nonprofit organization that enables the sharing and use of creativity and knowledge through free legal tools". Basically giving you the right to use others people works without copyright. As for if information should be free? This topic has probably been argued the day humanity was born. This question tips back and over from yes to no. For example movies. If they are free where will profit come from or giving the willingness to make the movie. Then again, why should we pay from something so meaningless. Books are also the problem now. Costing so much (for some stupid reason...seriously why are books so expensive? I mean come on, it's a book!) open source textbooks are getting pretty popular. As The Tullahoma News  stated, "Open source texts – whether on paper or in a digital format – are compiled using copyright-free materials from a wide variety of sources and can be edited and updated immediately." This will surely hurt the authors who are selling books. But oh well. Survival of the fittest. As stated before this question can go both ways and this debate shall never end. It's a matter of perspective, who will hurt who?

Security and Privacy

Security and privacy can be a real issue. Whether it's on the internet or even in real life the issue cannot be fixed. After reading the article Target works on security-heavy credit cards, after breach, after multiple cards were stolen from just using it at target. They are trying to make a new way to prevent the situation again. With this said, it's nearly impossible to stop this hacking. There will always be a way to break the system and the only possible solution to fix this problem is to constantly update. Of course it will be breached. And then here we find a cycle of updates to prevent this incident.
